Why Ombrova exists.
Ombrova is a privacy and protection service built for Black families and Black-owned businesses. Everyone is welcome to hire us.
The people most likely to be found, targeted, and scammed are the least likely to be sold anything real. The market offers them a $10 subscription and a dashboard. We think the work is worth doing properly, by a person, with proof at the end.
Why this is personal
I found my own home address on a people-search site. Not buried somewhere. First page of results, sitting next to my full name, my age, and a list of my relatives, free to anyone who typed my name into a search bar.
I had not published it anywhere. I did not need to. It was assembled from public records that most people never think about: a business filing that asks for an address and then posts it online, a domain registration, a property record, a handful of data brokers that buy the rest and fill in the gaps. Any one of those on its own looks harmless. Together they are a map to your front door.
That is the ordinary shape of this problem for a small business owner. You register something, and the address you used becomes permanently public. It is not a mistake you made. It is how the system is built.
Shutting it down took months. There was no single place to go and no one to call. It meant learning which filings could be amended and how, which brokers actually honor a removal and which quietly repost you ninety days later, which credit bureaus exist beyond the three everyone knows, and which steps have to be done in a specific order or they undo each other.
Ombrova is that process, run for you, in a fraction of the time it took me. The research is already done. The order of operations is already worked out. You get the outcome without spending your evenings on it.
Who does the work
Years securing systems for large financial institutions
Ombrova is run by a senior engineer whose day job has been building and securing systems for large financial institutions. That is regulated work, where access control, data handling, and audit trails are not opinions and a mistake is a breach. The same discipline is what this service applies to a household.
Hands-on privacy practice, not theory
Data-broker removals and the repeat filings they require. Credit freezes at all six bureaus. Passkeys and authenticator apps replacing SMS codes on financial accounts. Registered agents, virtual mailboxes, and the filing-level work that takes a home address off a public record. Every step we run for a client is one that has been run before.
What we are not
We are not attorneys, accountants, or licensed investigators, and we do not pretend to be. We do not give legal or tax advice, we do not form your entity for you, and we cannot make you invisible to someone with a lawful reason and a court order. When your situation needs a lawyer or a CPA, we say so plainly and tell you what to ask them. Knowing where the line is is part of the job.
Why there is no name or photograph on this page
You have probably noticed. It is deliberate, and it is the same thing we will tell you to do.
Running a privacy company makes you a target. A name plus a photograph plus a city is enough to start rebuilding the exact profile this service exists to take apart, and doing that to ourselves while advising you otherwise would be incoherent. We practice what we sell. Ombrova operates out of Dallas, Texas, as a service of ZamCap, and that is as specific as our own footprint gets in public.
You will meet the person doing your work on the first call. Nothing about this service is anonymous to a client. It is only quiet in public, which is exactly the outcome we are selling you.
How we hold your trust
This work requires knowing where you are exposed, which means a client list is a sensitive thing to hold. We treat it that way, and the rules are the same for everyone.
We never take your most sensitive numbers
Some steps need a Social Security number, a bank account number, a password, or a government ID. You type those yourself, on the official site, while we are on the call with you. Ombrova does not ask for them, does not receive them, and does not store them. There is no exception to this.
We collect the minimum to do the work
We hold what is needed to find and remove your exposure, and nothing collected for its own sake. Less held is less that can ever be lost.
Working files are purged when we finish
The material gathered during an engagement is destroyed when that engagement closes. You keep your report; we do not keep a standing copy of your exposure map.
We tell you what we could not fix
Your report lists what is still exposed and why, not just the wins. A privacy service that only reports successes is not telling you the truth about your risk.
